Operadagen Rotterdam (Opera Days Rotterdam) is a yearly festival that features 10 days of international contemporary and confronting music theatre and opera productions. The festival takes place in different theaters throughout the city but is best known for its intimate shows at unexpected locations in Rotterdam. The festival aims to inspire both public as well as professionals from around the world.
Since 2015 we’ve been working together in close collaboration with Operadagen Rotterdam to develop the identity and positioning of this unique festival. In branding the festival we aim to strike a balance between attracting a new audience (curiosity) and surprising the fans of the festival (authority).
Operadagen Rotterdam 2017 started of with a campaign image featuring Norah Fischer. One of the main acts of this years edition. This year's theme was 'the departure'. The edition of 2018 focused on the hero's journey.
