EdelWise Experimental Friday
Together with our friends at Fjuze and Edel Amsterdam we came up with a concept for a unique monthly party that brings the neighborhood together.
EdelWise (the way Edel would do it) is a monthly party that experiments on three different aspects. Food, drinks and ‘something to talk about’. Each of these elements change every month and therefore EdelWise is different and surprising every time. You could be eating Chinese snacks, drinking a new Bacardi mix and enjoying a breakdance performance (with local dance crews) at the February edition while in March there could be opera, french fries and milkshakes. Each edition of EdelWise consists of three ingrediënts: Food, drinks and ‘something to talk about’. Each of these ingrediënts is creative and different every month. When we put together the concept of EdelWise we involved the neighbours in the process. People who live in the area were asked to come as VIPs and bring friends. Companies were challenged to come up with creative content. With the help of local photographers, advertising agencies, singers, bands, dancers, cocktail shakers, theater schools, catering services and many more we shape each EdelWise to something different. You’ll never see the same EdelWise twice. Just buy a ticket, get in and be surprised.
For the visual identity of EdelWise we created building blocks that can be rearranged to form different visuals. The seperate blocks (above) are used as flyers. We use them to design all sorts of communication items liks posters (below), banners, headers, websites, cocktailcards, merchandise, signing and decor pieces. Most visitors of EdelWise just create funny faces with them.
EdelWise Festival is the outdoor edition of EdelWise. Starting at noon the day is packed with surprises. The identity is slightly different from the regular style but still uses the same building blocks principle.
